Driver Killed in San Antonio Big Rig Crash on I-10 West and Loop 1604

San Antonio, Texas (June 25, 2019) – One person was killed in a collision involving a big rig on Monday night on the Northeast Side, police said.

The deadly collision occurred at about 7:30 p.m. June 24, on I-10 West and Loop 1604.

Police said the driver of the truck was slowing down for traffic ahead when it was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler.

The driver of the truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the truck was transported to a hospital for treatment.

No details were provided on the identities of the involved parties.

The police are investigating the wreck.
