Kempner Man Killed in Lampasas Bicycle Crash on FM 2527

Lampasas, Texas (May 20, 2019) – A man from Kempner died in an accident where a truck struck him while riding a bicycle on Sunday afternoon in Lampasas.

According to a report by the DPS, the collision occurred on FM 2527, just north of FM 580 at around 12:15 p.m. May 19.

Police said a 19-year-old Kempner man was riding his bicycle along FM FM 2527 when he was rear-ended by a southbound 2003 Chevrolet pickup.

The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

The DPS is investigating the incident.
