2 Killed in Fiery Olton Crash on Highway 77 and Sun Road

Olton, Texas (June 12, 2019) – Two people were killed in a fiery accident on Monday afternoon in Olton, according to a police report.

The crash was reported at around 3:00 p.m. June 10, near the intersection of West US Highway 70 and Sun Road west of Plainview.

According to Olton police, a 2004 Dodge Ram hauling a Bobcat tractor traveling east on U.S. 70, drifted off its path and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Three people were trapped in the wreck and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said mechanical issues was a factor in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
