Kyle Deriso ID’d as Man Killed in Texoma Highway Pedestrian Crash in Sherman

Sherman, Texas (May 21, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver on Thursday night in Sherman has been identified as Kyle Deriso, 40, according to a local news source.

The incident occurred on Texoma Highway at about 10:30 p.m. May 16.

According to the news source, Deriso was trying to cross the street to get food for his pregnant fiancee when a vehicle struck him.

Deriso died in the collision.

Police arrested the involved driver on suspicion of DUI. The driver, identified as Melissa Thompson, 38, was jailed and released Friday after she posted bond.

The collision is under investigation.
