86-Year-Old Bobby Bathelor Sr. Injured in Texarkana Car Crash on New Boston Road

Texarkana, Texas (May 15, 2019) – An 86-year-old man was injured in a head-on collision on Tuesday morning in Texarkana, according to the DPS.

The crash occurred on New Boston Road Tuesday, May 14.

DPS said a white Ford F-250 truck was traveling westbound on New Boston Road when the driver swerved into the eastbound side to avoid a vehicle that stopped in front of him. The Ford ended up colliding with an oncoming black F-150.

The driver of the F-150, Bobby Bathelor Sr., 86, of DeKalb, sustained a broken leg injury and was transported to a hospital. His 72-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The DPS is investigating the collision.
