Male rider Injured in Abilene Bicycle Crash on Ambler Avenue and Mimosa Drive
Abilene, Texas (May 15, 2019) – A rider was injured when a vehicle struck him on Tuesday morning in Abilene, police said.
The incident happened at about 8:00 a.m. May 14, at the intersection of Ambler Avenue and Mimosa Drive.
Police said a man was riding a bike when he crashed into an SUV that made a turn into his path. The impact caused the rider to be ejected and he flew onto the hood of the SUV.
The rider was taken to Hendrick Medical Center and was said to be alert and talking during the transport.
The woman who was driving the SUV is expected to receive a citation.
